Big FIRST day at the ZOO!!! Oh boy!!!

We took little buddy to the Zoo for the very first time this last September!
It was so fun!!! The best part of course was watching Vander's excitment with the different animals!
A few he wasn't sure of, for the most part he loved it all!
These first two photos was the beginning of it all!
We got Vander some of his very own jungle safari animals and he absolutely LOVED them!
We for sure knew we just had to take him to the zoo!
Yes he even lined them up on the chair himself:)

Just arrived and all ready for a big animal day!
As soon as we let him out of his stroller he was off!
He was even pointing us the way!
He wasn't really lovin the gigantic elephant!
But we were on our way to see the real ones!
A mommy and baby elephant! It was so cute! While we were looking at this it made me think of the song I have sang to Vander ever since he was born, the song from Dumbo, "Baby of Mine".
That song just touches me so much and makes me think of my little buddy. I love singing it to him!
He was a little hesitant at first, then he was all about it!
Love how he has his hand over daddy's glasses!

Love love LOVE this picture of him infront of the elephants!

he was so fasinated with everything!
When we were just walking through the whole zoo, I would get so excited for Vander to see all the different animals like the tigers which he loves! I would get so excited for Vander to see the animals that at one point Keith said to me, I think you are enjoying this even more than he is! lol! It was just so fun for me to have my child at the zoo for the first time!

He would run all through this place so excited!

Ha ha it was so cute to watch him explore and look at all the LITTLE animals!
You knew he would just reach out and touch them if he could!

Keith said if he could have a room like this in his house with waterfalls and everything he would!
Some day honey, some day:)
It really was cool!

His shirt says mommy's monkey! And he is:)

He LOVES giraffes! At first he didn't know what to think!
I think it was so amazing to him to see a real one!
He couldn't take his eyes off  it! So serious!

When we went inside he couldn't believe it!
He would get a little scared if it got to close, but for the most part he loved it!

Love these pics!

Miss princess head needed to have some photo moments as well:)
She was so happy!

ha ha I love it when he points at things!

Helping push the stroller! He loves doing this!
He didn't like being put on these animal statues at all!
We would try and get him to sit himself for a quick picture, wasn't gonna happen!
This parot in the back was talking to us! He asked how are we!
 Vander thought it was funny!
Oh I wished that gorilla didn't move! It was honestly staring out the glass right at us! And literally when I took my camera out and held it up the gorilla moved! I was so bummed cause it was awesome and would have been a sweet picture! So we just got it's side! Oh well maybe next time!
So we got a picture with this one!
Ha ha Keith had to stand kind of back from it, Vander didn't like it! Look at his concerned face!

Oh my I love when Vander get's excited enough that he just throws his little arms up!
This is when we know he is very much happy and very much enjoying the moment! Of course he's enjoying the moment! he's up on daddy's shoulders!
Ok so this lion drinking fountain has been at the zoo since I was a little girl!
I got so excited when I saw it cause I remember going to the zoo and loving to get a drink out of the huge lion's mouth! I said to Keith I can't believe it's still here! I have been to the zoo over the years but it's been quite a few since I have been back to this one! I love that I have a picture of my child now taking a drink out of the same lion's mouth that his mommy did when she was very little:)

We had such a fun zoo day!!!
 We will definately go back!
And buddy even got a little present from his first trip to the zoo!
He loves his little giraffe:)

And He still loves to play with his little jungle animals!
